What do you want to be when you grow up?

Group-Photo-(cropped).jpgDo you know a high school student interested in the healthcare industry, but unsure which career to choose? With a collaboration between Northern Light Health and Eastern Maine Community College, these young adults can test drive a career in healthcare at the Adventures in Healthcare camp, which runs from June 24 - 27.

Campers explore the wide variety of healthcare careers through hands-on activities and tribe challenges. From suturing, casting, and simulations labs, to wheelchair races and water challenges, campers will enjoy a jam-packed four days full of fun, excitement, and once in a lifetime experiences. Campers not only see the tools professionals use, but they get to touch and use them as well. This component of the program is what makes it truly unique!

Campers will be introduced to a variety of healthcare professions, including (but not limited to):

  • Radiographer
  • Speech pathologist
  • Occupational therapist
  • Physical  therapist
  • Registered nurse
  • Respiratory therapist
